The Director of Curriculum and parents trained as abstinence educators conduct a 2-hour workshop for parents, How To Talk To Your Teens About Sex…Before Everyone Else Does. The workshop stresses the role of parental involvement in the lives of their children to help them to make healthy decisions and imparts to parents medically accurate information about sexually transmitted diseases, the emotional effects of unmarried teen sexual activity, and other current medical and social science research, and gives parents skills to talk to their teens about self-respect and respect of others, their sexuality, healthy relationships, and abstinence in preparation for marriage.  The workshop can be presented in English and/or Spanish.
